WoundRounds Clinical Study

OWM

WoundRounds was published in the March 2012 edition of Ostomy Wound Management. In the peer-reviewed medical journal, WoundRounds was found to increase wound care effectiveness by standardizing wound documentation and improving communication among caregivers. It was also found to be easier to use than conventional wound documentation systems.

Subsequent to the study, the facility experienced:

  • An 80% reduction in facility-acquired pressure ulcers
  • Nurse time savings of 8-10 hours per week
  • Lower wound care costs
  • Lowest rehospitalization rate amongst peer facilities
  • Reduced risk and liability
